The JISC CETIS Conference 2010 was held at the National College for School Leadership,  Nottingham, England on 15 November 2010 - 16 November 2010.  Hugh Davis gave a presentation on the work of the Southampton Learning Environment at the event.  The presentation was part of the "Integrating and Subverting Corporate Systems for Educational Purposes" parallel session.  You can see more details about the event here.

On Wednesday 10 November, 2010, Hugh Davis and Debra Morris presented to a regular gathering of Humanities' academics on "Technology Enhanced Learning [inc. the University's home-grown resource system, EdShare]".  We gathered, with a group of 20+ academics from the School of Humanities and spent the lunctime session exploring issues relating to enhancement of the student expereince within Humanities by increasing take-up for TEL, as well as the benefits which could be derived from increased use of EdShare which is already available for use by the School.  From this event, we have recruited two additional focus groups - one of staff within Humanities and the other of students, also from Humanities disciplines.  We will be working with these groups over the course of the next months to understand their ideas, concerns and interests for our work on developing the SLE.
